Teen View: Why I Support Deval Patrick

This summer, I had the opportunity to be a teen intern for Deval Patrick, the 2006 Democratic Gubernatorial Nominee for Massachusetts, and the man I believe should be the next governor of this Commonwealth. While working on Mr. Patrick's campaign, I learned a lot about his politics, his office policies, and got tons of experience working on a campaign. While I was there, I stamped envelopes, answered and made phone calls, entered data into a computer, and did various other jobs around the headquarters. Even though these things were not very exciting, I enjoyed doing them because I knew I was helping to elect an inspiring and intelligent leader. Not only did Deval Patrick start in politics as a youth, just as many Kids for Democracy have, but he is a role model for every child or teen interested in becoming a strong leader. Deval Patirck is someone who had humble beginnings growing up on the southside of Chicago, but raised himself up to attend prestigious schools here in Massachusetts (he moved here when he was 14 years old) and eventually become an influencial leader. His story proves to youth that no matter who you are, or where you come from, you can become a role model for many people. Mr. Patrick's political ideas are also ones that I support. From striving to create educational programs that help all children succeed, to wanting healthcare to be available to everyone, Deval Patrick genuinely wants to make Massachusetts a better state. Because of his real-life political aspirations, his focus on youth in politics, and most importantly his inspirational leadership, I support Deval Patrick and believe he will make a fabulous governor of Massachusetts!

Congratulations for being a teen intern for Deval Patrick !!! Best way to learn about civics is being directly involved in the process. Continue with the good work. You are the future leaders.

Yes - another brain washed Jr. Moonbat. I am sure someday when SHE has to pay taxes or perhaps gets in an accident with an Illegal who has a drivers license compliments of Liberal Deval she may feel differently.

The good news is as people leave this state in droves only the Moonbats will remain. The state will lose 2 more Congressional Seats due to the Exodus and be even more meaningless.

Deval's slanderous comments about the state's fishemen haved turned me away from supporting him. Too bad he's such an ignoramus; he ought to temper his remarks and do some research before mouthing off to the media.

I have mixed feelings about Patrick. He is an atty. and knows how to influence people like jurys weather he believes his views or he is saying what people want to hear.He also supported a rapest and that is a turn off, I have a wife and kids and those people are sick.He claims he is not far left but I believe he is. I will admitt he is one smooth talker but he uses that to avoid directly answering some questions. He starts out every response with the fact that he has grass roots and he wants to bring candor to the office. Well does he have any ideas to put substance behind what he says without taking those ideas from Gabrielis handbook. I know Gabs supports him but today with the comment that it dont matter where the idea comes from as long as its a good idea on chanel 5, that was Gabs saying. Then in the debate on fox 25 when they brought up illegals he said we have to go after the employer, he was against the Idea when gabs proposed it.So is he just full of air, correct me if I'm wrong.

As a convicted rapist I SUPPORT Deval. I hope to be freed by him when he wins. You see I was framed. I am not guilty.

Vote Deval.

Young lady, All I heard you say about Duval Patric was that he was a nice guy and rose up out of poverty. I didn't hear you say you support him because of his policies. He will give driver licenses to illegals and give them great deals on in-state college educations. Won't that be nice for the poor American kid who wants to go to college and rise up out of poverty? He could have gone to a state college, but alas, some illegal is sitting in his seat.

If Duval gets in office, I'm going to give serious thought to selling my home and moving out of Massachusetts. You see I don't want to pay for criminal alien's school, welfare, mass health and all the other social service they're allowed to take away from legal residents. Here is a thought, why not visit www.fairus.org and do some reading

Why I despise Deval Patrick's attackers:

After this hatchet job from the Herald that tattled about, not Deval but some ancient dirty laundry of his family, I wish somebody would make some obvious conclusions more widely known to our Massachusetts MSM, for whom nothing appears to be obvious.
1. Healy may be able to disclaim personal responsibility for this shameful lowering of the civility and relevance of the negative campaigning but she can only do so if she can shed her supporters: the vicious goons at the Herald. They reflect on her character more than something Devals brother did decades ago reflects on him.
2. So now we know something about the deprived family circumstances of Deval's upbringing that we probably didn't want to know...about anybody's family. So what? All that it tells us about the candidate is just how fare he has come and how much he has overcome to get where he is now. Can Healy point to any such obstacles in her career? Deval would appear to be made of grittier and more optimistic stuff than the relatively priveleged Ms Healy.

Deval Patrick is amazing and I am glad you had the opprtunity to work on his campaign! The other candidate is just jealous of his experience and enorsements. She shows it every time she pedals snipey negative advertising. Enough already. Let's hear her vision if she actually has one. Deval Patrick is the best candidate we've had in a long time. I am proud to live in Massachusetts and feel we deserve the leader that can work with, not against the people.

I agree. Healey is a sour grapes, entitled candidate that plays dirty. If you see Deval speak you know he is going to be the next Governor. He knows how to work with people.

If you are rich and spolied and you fall for ignorant ploys to stay off the issues that matter, vote Healey. If you care about Massachusetts look at her awful record and compare it with the vision Patrick is putting forward. Go Patrick. Get the facts people!!!!!
